With a flask of coffee by my side and the camera on the tri-pod I waited ages for the right light, and shadows so that I could capture a precise moment in time to show off the beauty of the Scottish Highlands….Please enjoy.
If this is not your best it is tied with it Mick. I love the pockets of light the clouds allow to shine through. The shadows enhance the scene even more. The flask of coffee (with a little Bailey's) would be perfect. I just can't say enough good things about this shot.
* Owing to the deterioration in my hands, I find that I cannot comment as much as I should..But please know...I do look at all your posts!..and will leave my 'moniker' >OB< when I do so!...Thank you all *

I always get so excited when I see you posted a new picture. (I know, I have no life, it's sad ha ha). The waiting really paid off on this one. The lighting, color and different textures are amazing. This is the Highlands!
Well worth the wait, I'd say. The richness of colour of the grass and heather and the light reflected off the roofs of the cottages make this really magical.
your wait paid off, i think! Thanks for taking the time to share their beauty with us, you've made me yearn more than ever to see it with my own eyes someday....
People may flatter themselves just as much by thinking that their faults are always present to other people's minds, as if they believe that the world is always contemplating their individual charms and virtues.

Wow this is very beautiful. I can't wait to take to the roads of Scotland and Ireland...I have told my husband we will be renting a mini convertible and exploring the rolling hills as soon as our child is old enough. : )
