Cornwall is usually one of the mildest regions in the country, but I was taken by surprise this morning as it was covered by a blanket of snow….Cornwall became a winter wonderland as snow fell across it….I went out early this morning to capture a few shots of the white landscape during a sunrise…..Please enjoy

Looks very cold with all those deep blue tones. It has a sense of loneliness to it standing proud but empty in the middle of that winter scene.

The first snow is always exciting Mick, especially if it is rare. You used you superb skills once again to capture a moment perfectly.

Mick, I can't believe you've had this much snow when we've hardly had any. A really great capture, as always.

Well done there Mick, very impressed. You make the cold and snow look very appealing, and after last winter here in Minnesota, that ain't easy. The colors on this just pop.

Think Cornwall never got a Christmassy touch that early in the year, Mick.
Thanks for this both amazing and wonderful post.

The colors, the snow, the seeming remoteness of the area, along with the old building all go toward making this a very special atmosphere...great work, Mick.

Gorgeous colours and light and the Wheelhouse thing really adds narrative to the natural scene. Perhaps the structure could be a little less central in the image.

This is the coldest sunrise I've seen in a while, and one of the most striking. The dusting of snow and the overall blue tone of the image certainly create the feeling of a chill landscape. The dark stone structure at the center of the image and the pink-tinted clouds add the perfect touch to a splendid photo. Great shot, Mick!
