The horse owner told me how these two horses enjoy each others company, so I waited patiently until they came together to get this picture…Whilst photographing these horses another horse appeared which gave the picture some background interest…Of all the pictures I had taken that day I have decided to post this headshot for you to enjoy.

They look well groomed Mick. They must be up to something. I think they find you interesting. Lighting is great per usual and you are right about the other horse being framed.
Very good post.

Nice shot of these two ladies, I like how you have framed the 3th one in the back...

The picture will get a totally different view if you crop out the brown lady....just a thought here....

Wish that human ladies had that much patience, Mick!, LOL!!!
Reading the comment of Els above, I have a different meaning. Cropping out the brown lady may make your composition somewhat dull. To me your composition is well chosen and very balanced now. Therefore a splendid post to me again, my friend.

Regards, Cornelius.

One of my favorite things about this shot is how we can see their shadows on the ground behind them... Very nice photo. I have horses, so I can appreciate how long you must have been waiting for them to 'pose' for you in such a way that made a great photo!

Faved by me as well, your patience paid off, and you expertise with the camera really shines with this one. The other horse is a nice bonus and I like the look of the two main subjects, and how you were able to capture their look so well.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I particularly love the reddish glow and shine of that chestnut. Including both of them turns it into something more than a simple photo of a horse; it's like a family portrait. Lovely photo!
