Well the morning started out as usual coffee with Dan while Rocky was enjoying his peanut breakfast . That is until Jay announced his arrival in true Jay fashion . Apparently Jay didn't care for his menu selection and went after Rocky's peanuts and managed to get one . He proceeded to land above my head and guard his fortune . We came to an agreement I'd get one snap of the camera and he'd leave NO droppings on me or the Nikon !

Jays are definitely a sassy and aggressive bunch but what a great shot you got.

Hahahaha!! I love the picture and description. I tease my friend all the time because she has a bird "curse". These birds I found are hard to get a pic of. Great timing!

Think the alternative title could have been: 'Looking down to Marsha and the peanuts'.

Wonderful image my friend.

Regards, Cornelius.

PS: Think you're a happy person for achieving an agreement with this bird abouts its droppings, lol.

Glad to learn Jay was accommodating, both with the photo op and the droppings...not sure Rocky would feel the same about his peanuts though...unique perspective and great closeup.

Camera Cleaner "Oh S--T"- Removes droppings of all types of birds - from eagles to chickadees - even from lenses. You were spared this time Marsha. Nice capture but don't stand there focusing too long.

I think you made a good pact with the Blue Jay, JenNay.
I heard they will work for peanuts.
Good shot.

Perfect management of negotiation skills. Good training shows effects:)
Fantastic POV as our 00J says, granted the negotiations were successful which we know had been the case.

Marsha - Your timing was good both in getting this shot and in not getting a shot from the jay. With your description of this one's behavior, they are the bullies in the bird playground. Thad
