I drove out to the country to buy blueberries and passed a farm where two colts and 5 adult horses were grazing. I decided to stop and take a picture on the way back home. And of course, the colts were gone ten minutes later when I made the return trip home. I have been back three times to try to take a picture of the colts, but had to settle for this one. They really are quite beautiful with the light colored coats. But from now on, when I see a photo, I will stop and take it now because it captures a moment in time and that same photo may not be there 10 minutes later.

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.

A hard lesson learned by all photo bugs Fran. A well composed capture of the adults though.

A nicely composed shot of the horses. Too bad the colts had been sent off to bed. :)

Think we all have experienced this problem, Fran. The best solution is to take your camera with you even when you go to bed, lol.
Thanks for this fine post.

I have been there and done that too Fran, A lesson learned. Nice capture even w/o the little ones. It does seem a bit soft on focus, Maybe try resting the camera on something to keep the camera steady. =^..^=sandi♥
