This is one of 250 trials to get a pic of a lightning. (It's very hard to get a good one.) So i have done a little rework to make it more atmospheric. The tree is alive, flash gone down at the hill behind.

Larser, I agree with you that's it's very hard to capture a lightning flash. Watching your image, I can only say that you've succeeded in doing this perfectly. Wonderful image. Cornelius

normaly i would say to you, level out the horizon, but in this case i love it crooked, i think it adds to the mood and makes the overall picture better. awesome and impressive work.

i would love to try and capture lightening..but we havent had any type of storm here (let alone rain) almost all summer. i really like how you edited it, it reminds me of the wizard of oz. i think you did a great job! ~abby

i apologize for my delay in replying to all of your wonderful comments...i am busy working a couple of jobs and enjoying the last summer with my friends
nothing worse than indecisive lightning .. first one way, then another .. what a waste of energy .. all stressed up and nowhere to go
