I was bored the other evening so I decided to head off to the coast & just see what turned up. I caught this pic of Roker pier just as the sun was setting behind me, & had a funny old tripod setup to get my camera this far through the railings to get the shot LOL!! C & C always welcomed.

Fabulous shot Mick!....you got the perspective and lead-in spot on!...

Would that be the tripod you are always dropping then?

Perfect shot, Michael! Leading curves to main subject are great in composition. Colors are perfect. Great timing for colors.

This is a wonderful photograph that invites a long, admiring look. My own long, admiring look caused me to notice the horizon is just a couple of degrees off level. A tiny nit to pick, but then the photo is so close to utter perfection. :-)

Your perspective is excellent, and your use of the rule of thirds keeps the eye scrolling around the photo. Your exposure is absolutely perfect, and the color balance and vividness are also top-notch! :) The only thing I can think of that might potentially have made the shot even better would be to have used a wide angle lens, placed closer to the fence, to capture more of the fence as it goes around and behind the camera, but I just noticed that you did that as well in your other photo. Both are excellent photos!! Well done! :D

Have a great day!
