This is a repost at what I hope will be a larger size. One is supposed to be able to "see" an elephant in the large rock in the distance. Good luck, as I have a hard time seeing it, however in this view I think I can kinda sorta make him out. Anyway... enjoy!

Very nice pic Bob, I downloaded your picture and put it in my photo shop zoomed in and as far as I can tell the critter is about half way down about 1/3 of the way back from the front of the rock. Although I could be wrong(more than likely) that isn't important the pic is still very nicely done. good job.

This is a wonderfully composed image Bob. The vegetation in the foreground adds something special to the entire piece, the gull flying in the sky, the foam on the sea, the edge of the other side of the cove....all well placed.Plus, I think I can see why this is called Elephant Rock? There is a distinct elephant shape on the rock in the background. It took me a bit to find it, but when I quit looking so hard, it appeared :!)
Thank you for sharing this with us :~)
Thanks also for the visit to ~solitude~. this bud was begging to be photographed. The staff had just watered and Mother Nature provided the perfect shaft of light so all I had to do was point and shoot. I am glad that you enjoyed it as well. Much appreciated :~)

I think I see the elephant - his trunk is almost at the extreme right of the picture, right? Even without the pachyderm (spelling?) though, this is a great capture!
Thanks for sharing and high marks from me!

Oh Bob - This is so lovely and beautifully composed. Everything is in perfect placement . I think ( not sure though) I can see the elephant. I enlarged at highest resolution to make it easier. I had you on my friends list prior to this post but don't know what happened- so I added you again. I truly admire your photography- Eileen

Wow, I think I've been here! Was this taken near Manzanillo, Mexico? There's an "elephant rock" there just like this one jutting out into the ocean. Very nice photo.

I reallly like the way the plants are so close up front, and yet there is distance between them and the waters....you really take some lovely shots. I'll have to go see this "elephant" one day..please hurry and post more ok?( I live near a small town called Banks, Or...about 30 miles west of Ptld...and only 45 min to the Ocean from here)... thanx a ton for your postings....verena
