A cactus called a Carion Plant. The blooms actually smell like carion (dead flesh). Taken with the Olympus 12-60 on my new E620. Thanx in advance for any and all comments!

What a unique plant. Is it a type of Orchid? Oh, it's a type of cactus, wow. Well, I sure wouldn't want to smell that plant tho. Nice how you took this photo. The angle is great. So interesting. Very nice. Verena

Oh, I´ve been trying to find this plant - without succes so far. Very good clear picture, but a pity that we can´t see more details of the flower.

We used to have some of these in our garden at my parents old place. THey really do stink! Can't say the same about your capture of them though! ;-)
