The S.S. Earnslaw sails on Lake Wakatipu, NZ. The largest steamship built in NZ (in1911) she is now one of the last coal fired passenger steamers in the world. Originally used to service remote high country farms around the lake carrying livestock, cargo and passengers, she now enjoys tourists enjoying her.

I love the color, the quality and the clarity you captured here. I also enjoyed the history behind the boat quite a bit. I would have liked to be able see the very tippy-top of the mast, but otherwise, very well done. Thank you ;~)

Lovely picture. My husband and I took a little cruise on this ship when we were in New Zealand many years ago. It was a wonderful trip.

Great job. I love all the verticals on the left, willow,masts and stacks and the pilings of the dock. The tree line breaks up all the blues in the sky mountains and water. I also like the light reflections on the bow of the steamer.

Those liners are great fun ! i have been on a few on Swiss lakes, steamengine driven and no propellor but radars on each side. Thanks for this historic image.
