WOW!!! I'll say it again even WOW!! This is without a shadow of a doubt one of theeeee best images I've seen of this type. Its amazing what a little sail boat can do for a scenic picture like this. Very well done!! Perfect desktop addition....Thaaaank youuuuu
Please forgive me: I want to thank everyone who views and comments my images, I try but it is hard to write individual thank you at times. Please know you are appreciated!
I agree the green framing is essential, otherwise this is just another run of the mill lake shot. Would earn a few more artistic points with a larger image of the sailboat. If this was anywhere near L.A. I'll let you use my digital SLR with a 100-300 tele zoom so you can have that shot and eat your sandwich too :-)
Well Lyn, this is one time when your laziness paid off!!....lol :)) What a capture this is....the trees make a natural frame, yet the sailboat is seen 'sailing away' versus right in the open spot! Your colors are intense. The sky and the water almost match in blues. That white sailboat is just perfect right where it is. Normally I might say that I would like the sailboat in the clearing, but this presents the "sail away" that is so cool. Well done. Thank you.
Thanks also for the words you left on ~cardinal country~. This was 1 of 2 snowstorms we had and the cardinals love to feed on my deck. There were about 20 of them at the feeder and this guy was on the ground looking up, just waiting for his turn to hop up there and dine! I am glad that you liked my framing. I don't do that often. Your continued support, comments and critique are deeply appreciated. Thank you :~)
This outa be used as an illustraion on how to frame a picture. Love the way you use the foliage. Talk about blue water, is it really that blue? That's beautiful. I would love to go swimming in there. How opportune that the sailboat came by just then. Good work.

Hello Lyn...This is a well composed picture and the simplicity makes it pleasing to the eye. ....The boat in the background adds an interesting element to the picture. the foreground of your picture creates a sense of scale and perspective.....Well done...All the best ...Mick.
