Wonderful capture of color and detail! I like the way you've framed it and what seems to be just earth and leaves in the background. Thanks for sharing this... it's going in my favourites. :-)
LynEve,
I love the flower, the image is sharp and captures the delicacy of the petals really well. I happen to disagree with the other comments about the border, it just seems flat and dull to me, contrasting it's dullness/heaviness to the lightness of the flower in a way that detracts from the impact of the subject. For me that border emphasizes the background of the image rather than working with the actual flower. (Of course it could just be that I don't like flat green colours!)
The actual flower, I LOVE.
Mikel.
Your flower is bright and delicate, soft and silky... I like the framing as well, it is not distracting, i.m.o. ... I guess it is a matter of taste. You did a fine job!
Beautiful rose, Eve. I'm not fussy about that frame, though. I know why you chose the colour, but I think it overpowers the greenery about the rose. Maybe a much narrower band, might have been ok.
Don't laugh...and don't take this wrong: The colors of this lovely flower immediately reminded me of the laundry I did yesterday. SOMEHOW....I was doing WHITES...and a red t shirt snuck in....and PINKED them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OXYCLEAN NOR CHLOROX cleaned it up. My hubby's fave polo....my towels...my son's shark t shirt.....PINK!
But This flower is lovely...so enough of my insane ramblings.....:)
It looks like white with a tinti of pink. The bloom is about to die. It wants it last moment in the sunlight beofre it's leaves fall off and it becomes nothing more than potpourri and its petals are tossed at someone's wedding and hundreds of heels step on it. Give the poor blossom a break.I like the idea of the framing but I think this green is a bit dark.
Hi Lyn, nice photo and framing... excuse me for laughing, but find it amusing in Madmaven comment. very nice job you have done with this subject though!
