The turquoise waters of the Kawarau River in Central Otago, New Zealand. Taken from the Kawarau Gorge Road which is just visible beyond the trees. This road was carved out of solid rock during the gold rush of the 1880's. Travel a little further and you arrive at the Kawerau Bridge, the birthplace of bungy jumping.

The deep rich colors of the cliffs area pleasure to view. if I had tourquoise water like that near me, I would have to find a way to get down there and go for a swim. You made it look very, very inviting. I need only one thing more to enjoy this composition- a canoe. nicely done.

Great shot and I love the color of that water. I used to fish glacial rivers on the Wash. coast that looked like that. Super job.

The water of the river lets off enormously against the enormous rocks, I hope that at the bungy jumping no accidents have happened. Splendid photograph.
