WOW Lyn that's an awesome view. You must have been way high up to get this one. Love the composition and seeing the tips of the mountains in the distance is terrific. Outstanding post and thanks for sharing this one.

Thanks for those nice comments :)
It scared the daylights out of me getting that high, first on a mountain railway and then a gondola lift, and then a bit of a climb. The climb was the easy bit lol.

What a phenomenal shot! And you weren't even in an airplane! Do you know how high up you were? I'm not sure I could have made it to that height by that means of transportation without keeping my eyes closed. It's a beauty of a perspective.

So this is what it's like to be an "Angel". A magnificient image LynEve. Never have I wished more for a pair of wings than after taking in your fantastic view. The wings I'm afraid are hardly likely so ... in the meantime I'll just tuck this in my favorites.

I just got out of the voting booth...hadn't had a chance to see whose this was yet, gave it a 10 (this was after I picked myself up off the floor). :) What an amazing post..as I see you've been told already, but I didn't think you'd mind a little more applause from the comment crowd as we're all gathered here at the edge of the world with you, holding our collective breath and drinking in the beauty that is laid out before us like a veritable banquet of visual delights. I don't think anyone commented on the pretty golden strands of drying grasses down in the very front that make a charming, understated frame for the rest of the expanse, but I happened to notice them because I was looking at the angle of the steep dark decline down the mountain we're on...noting that it too is visually very far away from where we are actually standing. I love the detail in this overall, but it's so clear on that first slope, and the lighting and the color of that part is so different in hue from the rest of the presentment that it not only gives off angle, but also creates a matte, or a second frame to this panorama. The valley view is eye candy and all the elements have already been mentioned, but I can't stop here until I say something about the way the presentment is finished off so completely with the blue mountain on a level with us, yet so far away, with its head and shoulders also above the clouds looking down at all the gorgeous detail in the valley below with us, and the heavy cloud cover to the upper left that speaks of other, and even more hidden beauty making us wonder what more could have been explored. Of course you know it's in my favorites, and I wish I had a copy of this to hang on my walls........it's more than I could ever put into words. Thank you :)PJ
