All of the swans in Britain belong to the Queen. There are over 30,000 of them and to harm or kill a swan can put you in jail for six months or cost you five thousand pounds. Sadly some people ignore this law and numbers are dropping in many areas. Each July the swans on the River Thames are rounded up and counted during the "swan upping" ceremony. I hope you like this one serenely living on the River Avon.

That water looks so fine and the swan looks so elegant as they do with their long, graceful necks. I like your positioning of the swan and the small foreground tuft of grasses.

The colors in this composition are so natural. The clarity and color of the water is superb. The swan is superb. Why wouyld anyone want to kill a swan? Such a beautiful and regal animal. Your photography did the animal full justice.
