Another lake in the English Lake District. Here is where Sir Malcolm Campbell broke the world water speed record in 1939 at 141 mph. His son Donald lost his life in his successful attempt at 300 mph in 1967. ~~~~~Coniston Water is the setting for the childrens book Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome published in the 1930s, where it was described as 'that great lake in the north'. The book has since been made into a film and a TV series. It was a favourite of mine so I did enjoy seeing this area.

Shining lake. The blue of are appropriate air and water really at
each other. Beautiful composition.
I, however, will not have read the book. Because not all English
books are translated in another language.

Splendid lake, the blue water with the gravel on the forefront and the beautiful boats ensures a beautiful compositie. The frame is beautiful. Interestingly but also a sad explanation.
