Umbrella in one hand, camera in the other :) This is Liverpool Echo, a special rose I have had about 10 years, given to me on a "Big 0" birthday, because I am originally a Liverpudlian. You will notice I resisted the temptation to give this a frame, it took a lot of determination, lol :)

Frame or no frame ... I think this is one of the loveliest flowers you've posted ... and that's really saying something. The rose is GORGEOUS ... but your composition among all those buds is exquisite. I've just added to my favorites THANK YOU LynEve.

Eve, I am glad you have resisted temptation of a frame - it is absolutely perfectly photographed! You must adore it - it looks like a prolific bloomer, so display will last a while! Particularly lovely shade of pink - so delicate. Only this morning I have subdivided my picture files - with Roses getting their own, Guess where this one is going? Thank you!

The petals are so delicate that they look like they might melt under your touch and so artfully presented it's as though someone with a master hand reached out and arranged them..This is a stunning subject. I've never seen a rose of that hue so delightfully displayed. Yes, I am also glad you refrained from framing this beauty, as she is already framed by the buds of her sisters and the ever darkening circle around her. In my faves, looks amazingly clear on my desktop and thank you for this composition that's going to be getting a 10 when next I am in the voting booth :)PJ

beautiful capture Lyn, especially with the raindrops on the flower and I think this works better without a frame because the background with the rosebuds is so pretty too. Patti

Lyn, this is a drop-dead gorgeous capture that has a Mother Nature perfect frame. I am glad that you resisted here and let us view this beauty in all of it's natural glory. The color is so soft and gentle and the rain adds a magical touch. The lighting is superb for a rainy day and all of the buds make me jealous. I only wish that this was in my yard as well as yours! Hope the "0" birthday was as pretty and wonderful as this capture is. Thanks so much for sharing this with me ;=)

Thanks for not putting in the frame. I don't like frames. They take away from the naturallity of the image and its beauty. This picture is gorgeous. I can feel the cold rain when I look at it and can feel the tender soft petals between my finger tips. Great, wonderful, Fantastic job ;)
