O, my luve is like a red, red rose That´s newly sprung in June. O, my luve is like the melodie That´s sweetly play´d in tune.......Robert Burns. . . . . Not the usual type of rose associated with this poem. I thought perhaps more like a 'melodie' than the more sophisticated formal type. Wishing you all a melodie in your life.. . . . . .btw I sat on my hands - no frame :) and no fiddling whatsover :)

hahaha - had to sit on your hands to resist the urge? :)) This is wonderfully composed and focused, Eve - it has a great 'melody' to it - thanks!

I remember the poem !!! LOL
Quite strange for me as I normally dislike poetry LOL
Love this type of rambling rose ...
Common [=apparently plain] and so charming at the same time.
Many thanks, dear Eve.

These remind me of the "wild roses" that we have here that smell so sweet and are so hard to get rid of once they have taken hold in a particular spot..which is all right, except they have the meanest thorns I've ever seen on a flower. Your clarity on the capture of this hard-to-focus-on color is amazing..and that you didn't touch it at all is even more amazing. You've certainly hit the lighting and all the other technical aspects to image taking just exactly right to come up with this..a KEEPER for sure and on my desktop..thanks :)PJ

Well, if you didn't have to "fiddle" with this you really bagged the exposure. It was perfect. So was the lighting and the focus. This is a keeper.

I'm late! But I was saving the best for last! Lol. These are scrumptiously beautiful! I guess they call this 'rosa ragusa' or some such thing. They are so very lovely and Robt. Burns words are apt. I love the buds and the clarity is great.
