The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. . Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen. It is 300 metres (320.75m including antenna), and weighs 7000 tons.. . . . . .I am not sure if I am breaking copyright laws with this. Apparently pictures of the Eiffel Tower at night are copyrighted. However, although the lights came on just as I was about to press the shutter the sky is still blue, so I consider this not a night shot. . . . . . Kodak V550

A real beauty and nice set-up on the take Lyn!! Honestly though, I think a black background would really make this baby sing. Great formations in the sky!!

Picture Purrrfect . Some people are like slinky's, completely useless but still a lot of fun when you push them down the stairs. 8~O

It's a beauty! Maybe you should copyright it! I like the lights on against the blue. Where does one learn such information about this copyright at night thing?

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

great capture as the lights came on and before it went dark (twilight! - so you are safe! lol!) - it has a lovely effect Lyn! I tried to capture it at night a few times, but that was before I knew anything about cameras and couldn't even work out how to take a photo without my flash! haha! Patti

You've done a very nice job here with capturing the lights at just the right moment. I bet it's a zinger after dark ...but I don't understand why they'd want to have copyright laws on such a grand work of art. Seems to me that they'd encourage people to come and enjoy it and take lots of vacation shots, even if it were at night..go figure..nice capture :)PJ
