Yesterday this rich red velvet dahlia was the first in my garden to open its smiling face to the sun.
In appreciation of Kelcey's (snapgragonk) never failing rich sense of humour.
Keep smiling Kelcey :)
Tough act for the rest of your garden to follow if this was the first opening of the day. A gorgeuos bloom with almost wax-like petals healthy and vibrant. Beautiful post Eve ... Beautiful!
Does it smell as good as it looks? You caught the velvet-factor so well in this and the color is perfect - not too bright - just rich and deep.. a great desktop!

This is such a beautiful flower that I might have to change my name now:) I'm so very honoured that you have dedicated one of your supurb marcos to me Lyn, especially one so lovely. The perspective and focus is really excellent on this one. How can I not keep smiling with this on my desktop:) Thankyou Lyn, I'm incredibly touched.
At the time of this commentary, your bloom had a 59. Ridiculous. This deserves far more than that. You'll have to forgive the masses for their total lack of discernment. Hope I get this one in the VB also. Gorgeous. It's a keeper.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

thank you for that...and for this beauty of a flower too!....
