Montbretia (Crocosmia) sometimes known as Portugese Lily. This plant has naturalised along roadsides and in waste areas in New Zealand and is considered a weed. Not a good idea to plant them in your garden, it spreads very rapidly :). .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. I hope you enjoy this pretty wildflower.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Lyn, beautiful contrast in this image. Due to the dark background and framing all the attention is caught by this orange montbretia. Perfectly done! Regards, Cornelius

Sensational angle on the play my dear!! Stunning, I'd say!! The colorations of you frame work though are kinda distracting, perhaps basic black. Rockin' flora though!!

This is a WEED? Wow. I'd love to have something that gorgeous growing all over the place. I'm really impressed with the whole upload, and I like the color of the frame..it sets this little beauty off perfectly.
