I hope this Gerbera finds you 'In The Pink" . . . Pink is a relatively 'new' colour and would not have been known by William Shakespeare, although in Romeo and Juliet (II, iv) he speaks of "the pink of courtesy" - pink meaning "peak". It was originally used in the 17th century to describe the red Dianthus, or "Pinks" which have distinctive peaked or pointed petal edges which look as though trimmed with pinking shears. . . . . . . . Put some pink in your life when you want: calm feelings, to neutralize disorder, relaxation, acceptance, contentment. . . . . This bright pink is also the colour of the 'red tape' used to bundle legal documents :) . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thanks for viewing.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Strong and bright shades of pink and a sharp focus. Towards the edges the petals have a silken effect. The contrast against the black frame makes the pink even more striking.

Gorgeous, Eve and now I certainly know a lot about pink! I love the deep pink of this beautiful flower so nicely framed with the little gold border.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
