The colouring and lighting give it a melancholy feel.i like it because it is creative image of an ordinary subject. I do not know if you compose with this in mind: overlaying arcs, as present in this one.

You can certainly feel the cold looking at this image Lyn! A very good portrayal of Winter - not much different than we are getting here in the UK at the moment! lol! cold and wet it is! ;)

'Tis a beautiful image. That tree is so wonderful and intricate in it's branching and looks great against the brown rolling hills and the lighting says 'winter' for certain. Very nicely done.
