Well I hope some of you have enjoyed sharing this spectacle of nature with me. This is the last of my shots of the 'terrific tide' and was in fact the last shot I took before it became too dark. I sat beneath the trees and watched the sky change, with the sound of the pounding waves still booming. Then I realised it was dark, I was frozen to the bone, and and dinner would be late that night :) . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

That photography addiction will cause many frozen fingers and late dinners - but isn't it worth it! Beautiful coloring on this - would love to have this shot also - with nothing but the sky, water, and dark tree outlines.. the lavender and black are always a nice mix! Thanks for all these ocean shots!

Ooh, I really like this one. I can't believe that sky is for real! Absolutely gorgeous. It's really interesting that the photo on the whole has such a peaceful feel because of that pastel sky, and yet the waves are violent in the distance. Nice contrast.

Somehow it does look cold out there but the scene is very beautiful Lyn, and sort of soothing after all those crashing waves!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I can't fathom why, but I'm actually really and truly sad these are the last of the "terrible tide" posts. This series was wrought with beauty and power and you have shown us so beautifully, Lyn. All of these postings were tremendous! ~Mary~

Added this to my faves right away! I love the color and the way you framed it with the leaves in the foreground. Then when it's opened up large I just love the wave crashing in the background. Great series, Eve!

I would put this in the really good holiday snap category. The colour is a bit too surreal and the colour change affected too much of the photo, including the whites. The trees fade at the top of the pic at the top border. I think that needs fixing. 5-6/10
