My husband's grandfather (bless his soul) used to say that marriage was like a horse drawn cart. The only way it would succeed is if the horses pulled in the same direction. I know there are five horses here, but it's the same deal and your photo reminded me of him. Such wonderful looking horses, Eve and a great post.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

That is one of the strangest harness rigging I have ever seen. I wonder where this pic was taken. First, it is a 5-horse team. Second, their heads seem to be forced high---there is a taut blue line running from the front Sorrel's left bit ring to the top of the front Chestnut's back, and vice-versa. Third, the cross-tying on the bits seem to bother the horses as they are each chewing on their bit as if it bothers them. I don't know much about working horses, just watched my uncle working two-horse team when I was a child....so I may not know what I'm talking about. Maybe this was just an exhibition...those horses looked very groomed for being working guys!
I'll have to agree with another commenter about the strange rigging. Never seen that before. But, none the less, that man has 5 very beautiful horses. Those are some fine animals. If you have more images of these horse, please post them. This is a great picture and definitely a keeper.
