A different shot of the same old mill in my desaturated picture of yesterday. This tower mill has been restored and is being lived in. I think it is near or in Burton in The Wirral. Anyone know?
I waited nearly 4 hours to comment on your work Lyn!!.
Some have been waiting 7 1/2 Hours!....don't know what they are playing at!....
your image is terrific..that building ..standing tall against a beauty of a sky!..textures are lovely tones..very nice indeed!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

I found some really old photographs of mills but none of them look exactly like this one, so I expect it has undergone some restoration at some time. There is a mill at Burton called the Tower Mill - maybe it is that one! nice capture again Lyn! I like this one even better as you can see the whole structure!

I'm with Owd Bob on this one. I waited a considerable amount of time to view your and others' pictures this morning. Perhaps it was a good sleeping day!! This is a nicely done pic of this place, and of course you know I don't know a thing about it, just that I'm enjoying the view :)

Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. :-)................ MY GALLERY - THE LION****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Wonderful work on this old mill. That is some technique you have applied and it looks so good. Great colors too. The tree branch is a good foreground element in this image too.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Eve,
I really like the dramatic atmosphere of this picture of yours. Also I find that the texture on the mill conveys well the idea of age. Compliments,
Rob
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

I just got to look at your other one and I must say I like this one better. The perspective and clarity are fantastic! A very dramatic and impressive image, to say the least.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
A very striking and dramatic image. The colour of the brickwork and the strong shadows are a powerful combination. I like the careful complementarity of the frame too!
