Continuing my Garden walk - and on past the aviary, when suddenly I heard a wolf-whistle! It's a long time since I heard one of those lol. Next thing this bird throws himself against the netting to get my attention - and continued his whistling :) Who could resist ? I stopped and had a talk to him - he said he was quite happy living there and just wanted a chat. I told him he was a pretty boy - and that set him off saying 'pretty pretty'. He seemed to lose interest once he realised I had no food for him. (typical male?) Unfortunately his constant chatter caused his beak to be blurred. . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Lyn this is a male African Ring Neck parrot. I had a female once and all she did is scream. They are better aviary birds with mates and the males are the talkers of the two sexes. Beautiful isn't he? Love this photo! ~Mary~

Normally, such a visible metal fence would not work but you have managed to place the most important elements of the bird's face just right in between the sections of fence. Well done. Can't remember the last time I heard a "wolf whistle" either. Sigh!

The shot is so wonderfully clear and funny even without an explanation. These birds just have a way of making you laugh. You got both his eyes through the fence too. Great capture. He was probably interested in what you were doing.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
