As I was passing by a stranger's garden today I noticed these lovely blossoms so stopped to capture them. I hope you like them. They come with apologies for my lack of comments - I have been travelling to spend time with my family - and celebrate the birthday of a 3 year old who is just as bright and beautiful as these blooms :). .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated. Please view full size to appreciate the delicate texture of the petals :)

These blooms are just gorgeous. Are they on a shrub or growing independently? I'd love to know what they are. I really like the little stamens in the center. Excellent treatment too! Your framed have been so fine.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I am not sure what they are - some sort of small prunus tree - cherry or possibly almond - it was quite low growing and these blossoms were almost at ground level

Fantastic clarity and beautiful presentation. And no apologies necessary. I've been quite absent lately, too.

Lyn, wonderful! Beautiful are those subtile colours of the petals. The '3 year old' must be a grandchild as only grandmothers can talk about a child that's 'bright and beautiful like these blooms'. If so, congratulations with the 3rd birthday of your grandchild. Regards, Cornelius

Very nice and I've saved this one. I really would like to try and find out what this is. Here's an idea...a picture matching service for flower identification!! I could make millions <<LOL>> :)

The first thought that came to my mind was, "This is the most beautiful flower composition I have seen yet." I was admiring all the wonderful detail; the delicate softness of the petals; the sumptuous colors...and I had not seen the score until now. Somebody is SICK! Somebody needs a new pair of glasses. That's a 90 plus. I have spoken.
