Close to the Christchurch Yacht Club at at Monks Bay near Sumner yesterday. A dull day which did nothing to enhance the snow-covered mountains which are hardly visible. It looks almost like sunset but was in fact just before 1pm.Viewed full size you can just see the snow. . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Great capture of the low lying level of clouds and the gentle motion of the water. Very nicely done, Eve.

Flowers in the foreground, snow in the back and what beauty in-between. What a wonderful shot.

Another wonderful shot :)
Gives off a lovely calm feeling and vastness of the body of water, from those lovely flowers in the foreground to the mountains way off in the distance.

Like the feeling of solitude it radiates. Just enough in picture to make in great. Colors are also good.

General comment to all my Caedes friends: I'm so sorry that today I have and the coming days I'll have only few time to comment on your images. I prefer to let you know this instead of not commenting at all. As soon as possible I will resume normal commenting again. Regards, Cornelius

Well it may have been a dull day weather wise, but you did a great job of using the available light to capture a very moody and serene scene. Quite beautiful!

Beautiful boat and hard to believe it is 1 p.m. Again you have those lovely flowers in the foreground giving us perspective. Nicely done.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I was just browsing again, and came across this super picture. I love boats, (although I don't own one) and I love your shot of this one. Yep, I see the mountains in full size. Great shot.
