This tree grows in my garden, and I took this in the late afternoon sunshine today - I thought the light on the bark was nice and that was what I was trying to capture but a few blossoms got in and perhaps they are the best part of this picture. The composition is not great (cropped from a larger picture) but I thought the colours made up for that. No colour adjustment, just a slight sharpen. It is a very large tree, taller than our house.. .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated. Full size looks much better :)

Lyn, Think the setting sun gave the blossoms a golden colour. The composition may be not that great, but it's anyhow a very nice image! Regards, Cornelius

The sky makes a perfect backdrop. God must have known what he was doing when he made such beautiful things. Your photo is no exception. I like the bits of sunlight and shade. Very clear and yes my eye was drawn to the flower first.

Makes a great capture against the spotless blue sky. The flowers look sharp with the sunshine and the blue sky as background.

I won't tell you what I gave it in the voting booth, but I can and will tell you that this is another one of your great captures and uploads. I am totally in love with that lighting and that it was naturally found is only a plus!

You are right about the warm golden appeal of the lighting on this lovely tree. I wish I had one of these trees in my backyard. I'll trade you one pine! lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Your camera focused on the flowers rather than the bark but none the less, I like it.
