Kakanui, New Zealand. The world's best tomatoes are grown in this area :) This is a PNG image - I do not think the clarity is as sharp as JPG.. .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Looks mighty clear to me and the site compresses them when you upload to a jpeg, so what you're actually seeing is their compression. At least that's the way I understand it, and if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will come along and set it straight!!

Lovely colors, as always, and the view of the mountains in the background is just icing!!

Nice shot, but I might not agree about the tomatoes. When I was a youngster we grew some mighty fine ones in New Jersey.

:) Tomatoes we will agree to differ on:) - Kakanui also has the reputation for the best new season potatoes (Jersey Benne)- it is rich volcanic soil and there are many market gardens and glasshouses. Without a doubt the Tomatoes are at least the best in NZ :)

I don't know. It looks really good to me. I feel like I am standing there on the bridge. Send us some of those tomatoes and let us be the judges! lol You've got me craving a danged tomato sandwich now!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

BLT on wheat if you might. Great photo and nice reference to great old movie. Sir Alec and William would be proud. Looks like a pretty little scene until you start looking at the mountains in distance and the sky to match them. Great vista you have given us.

A fine view. Why aren't you over there getting pictures of those mountains?

Don't let's start a discussion about the best tomatoes in the world as its very depending on someones taste. Think we do better to comment on your image Lyn, and, to me, it's a beautiful one. The landscape (with the mountains in the distance) is wonderful! Regards, Cornelius

Looks very clear and beautiful. I tested a PNG by posting one picture in PNG and comparing it with the original JPG. Both looked the same to me so since then I post my photos only in JPG.

Wonderful blues and greens Eve, but my dad always grew the best tomatoes I'm afraid! Sorry to differ, but they sure are sweet! =)
