Another of my roses whose name I don't know. I have photographed it several times and usually try to avoid the wall as a background but thought perhaps it went well with this bud. A slightly damaged petal and a resident greenfly :).I thought he slight reflected glow on the wall behind it was quite nice. .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

The wall is outside, painted concrete on the lower part of my house where she is growing- gracious Bob, you did not think I would chop her head off and take her inside did you? :)

The rose looks so delicate against the concrete wall. I feel that the contrast is too much and that such a rose will look better on a softer background.

A beautiful shot of this richly colored bud. I would say the rose could well be one named Gold Medal if you have that one available there. Very nice shot indeed. :o)

We call that look stucco. There were a lot of homes built with this back in the 40's. Not near as many now. Your rose looks good against the background. Many people want textured look and do it in editing. You did it naturally. Bravo Lyn.

The painted wall proviced a nice, plain backdrop for this almost perfect yellow and peach bud. I didn't notice the petal until you mentioned it. That is one really clear closeup.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Truly a delight, my dear. I love this whole upload and I'm glad you decided to use the wall. It makes for wonderful "wallpaper" on the computer!!

Missed this one ... then again I've missed a lot of late. Going through your gallery trying to catch up some ... (Impossible it seems) ... and this one grabbed my eyes. Truthfully, besides the gorgeous bud ... I think the wall as background played a role in doing so. The dappled stucco is a great contrast to the rose and yet is subdued enough not to steal ones attention from the star of this image ... and what a star indeed. Beautiful Eve ... just lovely.

Poor Rose got arrested, and here's her mug shot ;-)

Nice details and colors on the flower, would've prerred a different background, but that's just a difference in tastes, I suppose.
