A dramatic sunset last week as I left work for the day I was glad I had my trusty little Kodak V550 in my pocket, as I thought the cross on the roof of the Church next door was worth a shot. I tried to lessen the noise in the sky by 'using 'edge preserving smooth' in PSP. perhaps I overdid it? Thanks for viewing, any comments most welcome and appreciated.

Impressive looking sky. Yes, it is a bit overdone and the edges/rims do look a bit touched up. Still it is an unusual sky well photographed.

Very interesting and dramatic shot. The sky seems to have a "watercolor" effect which I rather like.

Super, Eve. If you were to go to a store right now and look around for a calendar, one that used outdoor shots of anything as its main thrust, I'll bet that this, by that standard, would not be "overdone". It's eyecathing and dramatic and if we're creating art here, why not put some of our own touches into the processing work. If we don't, the manufacturers of the camera will!! Excellent vision here.

This is a very interesting shot Lyn! That edge-preserving filter has produced a fascinating effect. I wonder how it would work on water ripples? Great work!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
