In the few tourist areas where keas are found the notices not to feed them are often ignored, encouraging them to frequent anywhere there are parked cars, where they can perform their destructive mischief on them. Someone had given this fellow a sandwich and he was not too impressed at me getting this close. CLICK HERE for a full description of this NZ native. . . . Thanks for viewing . . please dont feed him :) . . Any comments are welcome and always appreciated. . . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7

You want to be careful when you go up there with your camera. Remember "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock? Lovely close-up - was worth the risk :)

The somewhat early bird gets the sandwich. I think that's an old saying from the founder of the old Ben Franklin Five & Dimes. Excellent photo again. I like the other better, but they're both great in presentation and clarity. Very good Lyn.

I don't know how you got this close to that bird but this is a knockout. I mean, you placed the viewer right there looking the bird in the eyeball. And, the detail and color in the feathers is awesome. A keeper for sure.
