Just have to thank you for braving that Gondola ride you weren't so fond of! These vistas you've shared with us are stunning. I'm thinking of emigrating! :) ~*Mary*~
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
This is Port Hills from another perspective I am guessing. That has to be far up where you are standing to be able to view all that is before us. Great capture and I think Mary means it. Did you use a wide angle lens? I know you were going to get one. Doesn't seem like it could get much wider than this. lol
This must be wide angle, my peripheral is going crazy. Love the clarity and the scene below. What a beautiful area you have given us to enjoy. Top notch is very true in this one Lyn.
I can never have enough of viewing such images shot in NZ. The country side is so apart from what we are used to overhere in EU. you can clearly see that the country was shaped by volcano's, nothing here compares to that, with the slight notion of Island in the Atlantic Ocean maybe, wich is our most strechted country to the north west in Europe. Thanks Lynn, it is a remarkable shot.
Wow! What a panorama! You've captured it sharp and clear, with a fascinating patchwork of green colours. Overall the shot seems to have a tendency towards the blue end of the spectrum and I'm wondering why this is - sheer height or heat haze or artistic preference or something else?
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
This is a wonderful view and well captured. I also had a good time with Google Earth trying to find this same view and line it up the way you did. Yours is much prettier! lol

Stunning landscape, Lyn! :-)
A critic though about the burned white areas in the sky.
I think you can use the RAW format on you Lumix.
All my last captures are taken in raw actually.
