Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do ~ Helen Keller . . . . . . . . . I spent a pleasant morning in a sunflower field today, surrounded by these beauties which are almost as tall as I am. There are many such fields in this area, and they are in full bloom, heavy with pollen and and buzzing with bee song. . . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7 . . Comments always welcome and appreciated.

A beautiful, sunny image, Eve. Just what is needed here in some parts of the US especially this morning. I can face the ice and flooding with a much cheerier spirit! I'm also quite happy to hear you mention all the bees. I'm sure they are in their glory with these awesome patches of sunflowers from which to harvest their nectar.

If I were in that field, I'd be looking for my golf ball. Great colors. We still have a ways to go before we get this kind of weather. Nice Lyn.

I am so JEALOUS! If I could transport myself there right now I would do it! This is such a lovely capture of these sunflowers - I love their happy faces and the quote you've shared. You should see the movie Everything is Illuminated - it has a field of sunflowers and is a great film.

Sunflowers are just so photogenic. I love the way they track the sun. These are perfect examples, and nicely set off by the blue of the sky.

My wife and I often go to France in September but all we see there are fields and fields of dying-back sunflowers waiting to be harvested. We've never yet seen one like yours. I am very jealous.Beautiful shot full of colour.

At the northern hemisphere we're on the right side of the calender now, Lyn as the day are growing longer. In a couple of weeks we'll have spring and the opening of our flower season. Till this time you're offering us a very good alternative with you wonderful flower images. This image is a good example of what I've just said. Thanks for all your effort, really great!
