Hanging out my washing yesterday I noticed these little Michaelmas Daisies peeping out of an overgrown part of my garden. The stems had been knocked down but the little flowers bravely turned their faces up towards the sunshine. I thought they looked nice against the green ferns. Come the first frost and the ferns will be brown :( . . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Thankyou for taking a peep. Comments are always appreciated.

Wonderful macro, Eve. I can feel the sunshine. The frost has left us and headed for NZ. lol These lovely little flowers grow wild around here in the fall too. Are you using your macro lens now?

They look like little pinwheels Lyn. Makes you want to blow on them and watch them turn. Excellent coloring. Great post.

I never could get this straight. How come it's so darned cold here still and you're going into winter. I need to get a ball and flashlight and run that sun to earth axle rotation experiment again, I guess.

Very appealing, and you're right about the greens in the ferns..just a beautiful backdrop for those blossoms!

Stunning flower, Eve. Love all that green to contrast against that pale indigo blue.

What a gorgeous splash of colour, all the more special because you're now in autumn. I hope they don't suffer too much from the damaged stems and frost.

These little flowers made me smile - I just felt as if the sun is shining on my face (we don't have too much sun here in middle Europe for the time being). Thanks for sharing!
