This is part of the City Of Dunedin, New Zealand. Taken with Panasonic DMC-FZ7 balanced on a third floor balcony railing. It was a lovely starry night and that is what I was trying to capture - if you view full size and look very closely you may spot a few stars :) Although the star capture was not a success I was quite pleased with the colours as usually my night shots are much worse than this. The city looks very quiet and peaceful - there was in fact quite a bit of noise as it was University Graduation Day - much celebration going on :)

Looks like a busy place. Neat vantage point.

"Star Spotting" is not easy with all the lights blazing below :) It is a very good night view of the city well captured and from a good angle.

Looks good to me Lyn. I really like night-time cityscapes and this is a good one. Am I right in thinking that the name Dunedin is the ancient name of Edinburgh?

Goodnight, I mean good night shot. The lights are stars on earth. The noise is not there. Oh, you mean real noise that affects the ears, not the eyes. I see. Great photo Lyn.

This is a lovely capture. I think night shots of towns make them look completely different, and often better than in the day! Well done!

Great night shot - I don't see any noise either. I like the car under the street lamp best, there's something of the 1950's about shots of a car in a car park like that.
