You love the roses - so do I. I wish The sky would rain down roses, as they rain From off the shaken bush. Why will it not? Then all the valley would be pink and white And soft to tread on. They would fall as light As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be Like sleeping and like waking, all at once! ~~~by George Eliot~~~~Panasonic DMC-FZ7~~~~I hope you like this rose.Thankyou for viewing, please leave a comment if you wish, I love to read them :)

Great idea Lyn,from George Eliot but imagine raking up a mountain of rotten roses every third day :) Lovely flower so soft in texture and with its soft shades of pink shown in great clarity.

I love the light and shadow play on this one Lyn. The color is so soft and the framing is perfect. Great post.

I do like this kind of rose and I can't remember what they're called. Great close-up LE, one rose photographed by another ;-)

Usually I have a hard time appreciating a full blown rose, but this one you've captured at just the right moment in time and it's so well presented that it has to go into my flower folder.

Such lovely colors!

And it deserves a much higher score than what I see now.

I agree with PJ. This is one of the best full bloom pictures of a rose that I can recall seeing. Very beautifully presented.
