Alas! even the last leaves have gone and the trees stand bare and gnarled, shivering in the cold! Yet they have their own beauty, Lyn and you have captured that well in this photo.

I have always believed trees are much like people in their stance. And this tree looks as tho it has 'weathered' many storms..it's limbs all in array...maybe a bit of a 'mess' from the wear and tear..but yet it stands, staunch, almost royal near its loyal friend, the bench. I like the photo. It speaks. Verena

Great looking tree and I love the de-saturation of the colour. Your mid-June is our mid-December and this almost B&W is perfect. there's even a bench for Bob!

This old fellow has really been through a lot. With it's leaves gone, I'm reminded a little of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Well done, Lyn.

It looks like a giant insect with its wings spread waiting for another morsel. I hope Owd Timer wasn't its last morsel. Better warn him. Just great Lyn. Solid presentation.

What an odd looking tree. Is it the product of some arcane system of pruning to have that knobby section atop the straight portion of the trunk? Nice moody image, by the way.

Very cool Lyn, the b&w really accentuates the structure of the shot.
