This was taken at the Back of Fleur's Place, a seafood restaurant built on an early whaling station site at Moeraki, North Otago, New Zealand. This is where I get taken for lunch on my birthday :) . . Chef and food writer Rick Stein wrote: "While in New Zealand I hope to do two things - visit Fleur's Place in Moeraki and eat Bluff Oysters." I don't know if he was lucky enough to eat Bluff Oysters but he did visit Fleur's Place and gave it a shining review. . . Click HERE for a video chat with Fleur or HERE for a description of the restaurant and the area. . . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Comments welcome.

I would love having birthdays if I could have lunch at this glorius spot. It is a small world because I know Rick's brother Beer Stein. Nice information and the view is a meal unto itself. Colors and presentation perfect. Nice post Lyn.

Beautiful view here Lyn. This reminds me of a restaurant in Nelson, also quite famous in that area.

This is truely a beautiful view Lyn. I love the hills and sky in the distance very much as well as the colour of the foreground. Tasteful framing just adds to make it a great image. Well done!

It's worth the visit just for the view! What a fantastic one it is and your framing always finishes the images off so delightfully.
