Ok - so now I am 'branded' as a dotty old thing well and truly. I meant 'Banded' of course - have changed it. I would have called it 'Anartia fatima' but I could not spell it :)

I love what's going on here, the three very strong green horizontal lines and the butterfly at a nearly perfect 45 degree angle. That's some composition! Great work LE.

Fantastic lighting, Eve! Such a fantastic shot! The clarity is really sensational and the lines of the green plant leaves really provides a wonderful background to this gorgeous gold butterfly!

I'm pretty sure this is Parthenos sylvia, or The Clipper native to the Philippine islands. THIS HERE is a Banded Peacock.

Anywho, enough science lesson. Beautiful butterfly!! The colors are very rich & inviting on this capture LynEve!!

Love the bold green horizontal lines here Lyn and the way the yellow of the butterfly is picked up by the thin yellow horizontal lines on the leaves.
