This is a picture of the one that got away !! Taken at the Tropical Forest where my recent butterfly shots were done. I just was not quick enough to capture the butterfly on this hibiscus but thought the flower quite nice on its own. . . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7, ISO 80, F/3.6 . . .Thanks for looking, comments very welcome :)

Wonderful clarity and colour - It is lovely enough to be on its own without the butterfly.

I really am still here. This was too pretty to pass by without a comment. I don't miss the butterfly at all. Love it.

You were right to post this without the butterfly. She is an immense pleasure to look at all on her own and the orientation is a tad different from the usual hibiscus post. Very refreshing and beautiful.

Great one Lyn. The composition is great and the presentation is per Lyn. The stamen reaching out and it is longing for the butterfly. Love the colors.

I don't know Lyn, reduced to showing pictures of things that aren't there. luckily, it's a very lovely picture of something that isn't there.

Now, how do you think that pipsqueak Cannon you bought is gonna beat this?" It ain't. A Nikon D3 ain't gonna beat this. Astounding. Keeper.

The title makes me think of those cigar adverts they used to show before tobacco advertising was banned - happiness is a cigar called Hamlet! There's no harm in you getting a little fix of the Panasonic every now and then. Especially of the results are as cool as this. I love hibiscus and you got so much detail and so many tones on this one.

Ah, Eve, you've outdone yourself with this one. I've never see an hibiscus quite as lovely or with this unique coloring.

Saved it, of course.
