Taken today . .Canon EOS 540D . . Lens - EF 75-300mm . . adjustments - pot luck . . Photographer - perched on picnic table in her garden trying to work out how to attach the camera to the tripod, hoping the snow did not melt first. This comes with apologies for lack of comments etc, the snow is appropriate as I am a bit snowed under at work - the sort that requires me to go into the office lol, so have spent the weekend trying to catch up. Hopefully back to normal soon.. . . . This is the Kakanui Mountain range that can be seen in the distance in most of my Sunset pictures. . .Thankyou for viewing.

A beautiful view from your garden Lyn. A nice refreshing scene when it's 90 degrees and only 11 A.M. (I think i'm melting).

There you go, using those four letter words again -- snow, work.... It won't be long before the snow melts. Glad you caught these before the snow melted. Majestic vista.

Taken with a Canon what? Is that a typo? You outa be spanked having all that lovely scenery so near you. First, it's the ocean now it's the mountains. Just how good does it get?

What a magnificent view to have at the bottom of your garden. We can see some of the low North Welsh Hills from our house but it's not quite the same. Great Image, Lyn.

I'm getting a chill from the mountain tops and a chuckle from reading your story. That range of mts. sounds like it has a Hawaiian name, but of course, no peaks in Hawaii have snow. Nice job for not knowing how to set the camera! lol

I really like looking at your snow but am in no hurry to be taking snow shots myself. Unless laced with scotch mind you. Oh, and I don't have a mountian in my neck of the woods, let alone my garden. Beautiful shot Lyn. Remember: "All work and no play, generally means a large bank acount."

Looks ok to me for pot-luck settings! I can't imagine what it must be like to have this view out of your back yard. I guess there's not much searching for inspiration where you live! And as for being snowed under, I'm hugely behind too so don't worry.

Great view from your picnic table perch, lol! Such a beautiful contrast with the firs and greenery up front and the snow capped mountains in the back. The blue skies add to the beauty too.
