This was a roadside shot last weekend. I would have liked to have taken more but we were in a hurry so had to be content to just stop the car and wind down the window. Morning is the best time to catch the sun on these mountains and I liked all the shades of grey.. . . Panasonic DMC-FZ7 . . Thank you for taking a look and I welcome your comments/opinions :) . . . . “It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” ~ Edmund Hillary, who did much of his early climbing in this area.

The snow covered sharp edges stand out in sharp contrast to the grey-blue sky. A beautiful view well captured.

Ah ! not the European Alps (where i am right now, on holliday) but the New Zealand alps ! Judging by the looks of it, they are awesome to, and so is your shot, thanks for the posting.

I can see why you wanted to stop Lyn. You have presented this so very well. The soft colors and the framing are just outstanding.

There are so many Alps in the world. Yours is very nice, too. Great colors.

Terrific shades of grey on this LE. I see you're reverting to using the Panasonic quite a lot and I must admit it does seem to deliver more saturated colours. I still think the Canon has the edge though, it gives more detail and delicateness. This is an amazing shot of the Alps though, and you're right the light makes it.
