One of the most photographed churches in New Zealand. The Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of Lake Tekapo was built in 1935 as a memorial to the pioneers of the Mackenzie Country. Congregations of three faiths worship regularly in the Church, which has divine views of the lake and mountains through the chancel window.I have a shot of the view which I shall post later. . . Canon EOS 450D . .Thanks for looking, comments always appreciated.

I like the angles of the church in this one. You are right about the views - absolutely beautiful, and one of my favourite spots in New Zealand.

The lighting is perfect for this capture showing all the fine details and colours. Like how the composition is set with f/g rocks mimicing the shapes of the stonework in the building. Very nice post Lyn. Thanks for the share.

Great photo Lyn and I particularly like the rocks that anchor the scene, like faith anchors our lives.

Nothing wrong with this shot my dear. You did well with the 450D. Colors are great. The dynamic range is great. It is well focused but not the pin sharp focus I am use to seeing from the FZ7.A softer focus is more natural though. Great shot.

Whichever way you view this place it looks fantastic. I like the rocks in the foreground on this and that burst of warm colour in the grasses to the left of the church. Even the colours in the stone shines through.

It's obvious as to why this Church has been the subject of so many photographs ... and I might add ... I seriously doubt any of those photographs show the beauty of this Church setting to a better advantage than this one Eve. Simply a great shot ... love the composition and perspective taken.
