Thanks to those who replied to my request for suggestions on my True Colours . Following some advice I have cropped this image (it is not the same one) to bring a closer view. Any comments are welcome. Which do you prefer? I have a personal preference - will be interested to know if anyone agrees with it :) . .Thanks for looking - your help is appreciated.

Amazing views there... I looked at both again several times. I honestly like both, with a preference leaning to the first because of the wonderful soft brown complimenting that amazing water color. You do beautiful work.

Lyn, I think this brings the waterway into the centre of things as the main subject. The colour of the water is just amazing.

I like this one better. It does make the water stand out along with the mountains. Better detail and composition. This one flows and the first one is a snapshot.

This one is better for the following reasons :
1.A closer and better view of the canal.
2.The canal is to one side and not in the centre.
3.The portion that was cut out is only the heaps of soil and therefore did not contribute much to the overall quality of the photo.

This is the one Lyn. The curves with the roads and canal makes a super composition. The mountians are still in the scene and add a dramatic backdrop. I agree with the flow of this one. Great post Lyn.

I like them both however this one seems to have really brought the beautiful color mixes front and center, while maintaining some great depth to the shot.

This Image is More pleasing to the eye, but the First shows exactly what the canal is made far. I like both for different reasons.

I like the crop 'n' chop version better, though, the water colour seems a wee 'punched', you mess with that?? Still a stunning scene!!

This one is more striking and focused on the incredible blue water. I like this one more than the first.

Haven't seen the other one yet but I'll let you know when I get to it. No wonder you've put colours in the title here, this is your trademark blue through and through. The scene almost looks like it's a model - what a huge landscape. Beautiful shot LE.
