I had never seen one of these fine creatures before and just loved its regal and proud expression, despite it being in captivity. I took only one shot which went into my failure file. Then I decided to try and free it from its visible confines. I have made numerous versions and have kept two. I hope you think this one is worth the upload. Please view the original HERE . If you are interested in another version featuring only its face CLICK HERE . I could not decide which one to use :) A strange thing about Snow Leopards is that they are unable to roar. .With only about 6,000 left in the wild they are classed as an Endangered Species . . Taken with Panasonic DMC-FZ7, post work done in PSP. Thanks for viewing, any comments/opinions will be appreciated.

I think they are very rare Lyn. I watched a wildlife program where they tracked down a pair of snow leopards and they were so excited! beautiful shot and excellent presentation.

I liked the one of just the face real well too. Not any better than this one, but it is really good. Maybe you should post a "how to" get rid of wire on the photoshopaholic link. I know I would be interested. That is cool how you were able to share the original with us. I might have to look into that.

This is why I like this site. The learning aspect. I have read that is your view as well. Have a good week.

Oh my! It's as if Mama leopard brought her child to the art studio to have his portrait taken! Looks like he might have even been asked to pose. lol This is wonderful, Eve. I hope we don't have to remember them someday only from photographs. I am off to see your links.
Well, you did a fantastic job on the post work. I like the one of just the head, but I prefer this one because it shows more of the animal and the pose is priceless.

*stands up and applauds* This is truly super, my friend. Even though I have some clues as to how you did it, I have to hand it to you to dedicate so much time to restoring this great cat to its glory.

As Mama Pat would say, "Keep ah".
