This is a recent shot I particularly like myself, although I realize it it lacking in many areas. Perhaps it may appeal to someone :) It is part of an Agapanthus (Lily of the Nile)flower. Canon EOS 450D. Comments, favourable or not are most welcome :)

Lyn, have to put a question mark behind 'lacking in many areas'
To me it's a typical 'LynEve' post, beautiful, subtle and presented very well as always!
Regards, Cornelius.

I don't see where it is lacking and in what, Lyn. The soft tones are ideal for this light purple, the insect is in sharp focus and the framing is as though you were holding a mirror with a "diffusing glass" against the flowers - which I find innovative and very interesting.

A lovely post to see Lyn at this time of year here when it's the middle of winter. Lovely soft focus, pastel colours and a little friend along for the ride.

I think it is a very pleasant work. A relaxing sight for my eyes. Greatly compose, too. Thanks for sharing and best wishes to NZ. :)

Creatively close which is cool!! Some loss on the detail / focal range, but the framing helps add back some excitment to the piece!! The little critter is fun and the color combos kick!!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

It looks like the flower is looking in a mirror admiring itself Lyn. I like the framing which gave it this effect.

Nice post.
