Floribunda Rosa Sexy Rexy - a New Zealand bred rose. There is also also a Son of Sexy Rexy - I wonder why we always refer to a rose as 'she'. Rather a silly name but its alternative one is Heckenzauber, so I will stick with the former, much easier to pronounce. . . I tried to capture the sunlight here and I hope that makes up for the lack of clarity and composition . . I hope some of you will like the warmth it brings. The rose is actually a more definite pink but the low sun gave it a golden glow. Canon 450D. Thanks for viewing :)

Beautiful colors Lyn. Is there a Ebekenezer rose? I like your shots with the clarity better although this is a good study in light.

Gorgeous blooms and soft light! I'll bet they smell like heaven! Like the color on them, the touch of evening sun turns the pink a warm and glowing color. Don't worry about the composition, this is quite lovely as is! :)Ami

Lyn, you're talking about a lack of clarity. Can't agree with you about it as to me a desired better clarity is different from a lack of clarity. The warm sunlight compensates this very well. Very good post again!

Gorgeous roses Lyn. I suppose you're just about to enter your Autumn with all the colour that that brings.

Talking of the name "Sexy Rexy" can you remember the famous Liverpool solicitor E.Rex Makin? Because his nick name was "Sexy Rexy"!

Fine color and the background has a beautiful blue hue.Like you said ,you may have lost some focus up front. Not bad though and a slight adjustment in your f stop would cure this next time.

I love the time you got this shot, the way the sun hits the flower and also the greens. Great shot, beautiful.

Nice shot. It is cool the way the sun has bronzed the leaves as well as changed the blossoms to gold.
